A Persian music concert performed by Iranian vocalist Hosein Nourshargh will be launched in Russia in Late May.

The concert will be held at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the House of Culture in Borovsk in May 31 – June 1, 2021.

The band includes Iranian musicians Hamid Ghanbari on percussion, Ashkan Moradi and Mehrdad Masoudi Farid on kamancheh, and Siavash Valipour on santur accompanied by two Russian musicians playing alto violin and cello to present famous pieces from the repertoire of Iranian music.

An explaination of the event reads: “Man is always captivated by waiting. We are constantly waiting for something to happen in the near or distant future.

Music is a manifestation of waiting in the world of sounds. Music inexplicably transforms us from our constant connection with the world around us to our companions and accomplices in the process of creating a musical sound. The sounds of music not only resonate with our emotional experiences, but also make those experiences fresher, and we enjoy it, while by repeatedly recalling that auditory experience, we feel intertwined with the music.”
